Effective Leadership is an individual, self-paced online course designed to help SHSM students explore what it truly means to lead. Leadership isn’t just about authority — it’s about influence, responsibility, and integrity. Students will examine real-world examples of leadership in action and reflect on how personal values, mindset, and communication style shape their ability to guide others.

Throughout the course, students will learn practical strategies for setting goals, managing challenges, and making ethical decisions. Lessons focus on key leadership qualities such as emotional intelligence, accountability, and problem-solving. Each module encourages students to think critically about how leaders earn trust, motivate others, and create positive change — whether in school, the community, or the workplace.

By the end of the course, students will have developed a deeper understanding of their own leadership strengths and areas for growth. They will be equipped with essential skills to lead with confidence, adapt to new situations, and model professionalism in any SHSM sector. This course empowers students to see leadership not as a position, but as a lifelong skill that starts with self-awareness and purpose.
